Thunder Game

Gary and I went to Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game. It wasn't planned but we got tickets through some friends. We had a great time in the Thunder Box. Even though we had a great time these are seats that I wouldn't recommend.

Before the game we tailgated at the stadium. We grilled some food. We played beer pong and chilled on the party deck. I was one of the people that chilled on the deck and socialize. I had a blast getting to know the new staff at the ballpark as well as catching up with friends. It was great to see everyone because when the season starts the only time I see them is at the ballpark.

Here are some pictures from the game..

I have LOVED Nick Collison that it could almost be considering stalking. Long story he is from Iowa, played at Kansas, got drafted to Seattle, team moved to OKC. Now we are both in OKC and I think he is everywhere I am at.

B is for Baseball Widow

A to Z Challenge

This week I become a baseball widow. My husband, Gary, works for the OKC RedHawks and season starts this week.

I am actually really excited for baseball season. The primary reason is that I LOVE BASEBALL. I love going to games and being part of the action. Another reason is because I get the house to myself. I joke that I get the house to myself but it's actually a huge adjustment.

The first month of the season is weird because I expect him home for dinner but he usually gets home around 11pm. Towards the middle of the season its awesome because I get things done but then towards the end of the season it gets annoying.

Either way I am glad that my husband is working for team he loves in the league he loves with the company he has always wanted to work for since college.

What do you like about baseball season?

SeaLife Aquarium-Dallas Weekend

Before baseball season starts Gary and I like to get away. For those of you who don't know but my wonderful husband works for the Oklahoma City RedHawks, and baseball season is just around the corner. We try to take little trips throughout the year and throughout the season to keep our sanity.

We went to Dallas/Frisco area because it was close but still out of OKC. We went to Grapevine Mills Mall, and found out they have an Aquarium inside. We had a blast because we both love the water. Gary loves sharks, and I love turtles. The aquarium was a no brainer.

I highly recommend this place to anyone going to the Dallas area for a weekend.  If you have kids right across the hall is Legoland. We didn't go to that but the line was long. Which Gary thought about it for a minute.

As soon as you walk in you get your picture taken. (Just like every other touristy place.) (PS: Is touristy even a word? I just made it one.) We didn't purchase the pictures but it was fun. They gave you a trivia card and have to find the answers around the aquarium. Even though it was designed for kids, we learned a lot through the aquarium as well. Because we are uber competitive we made it a competition on how could find it first.

At this certain aquarium you can also purchase a behind the scenes tour for $5. I highly recommend this because you get to see the aquarium in a completely different perspective. It was completely different than I what I thought. Depending on the time you go it can be hectic or pretty calm. We went at 1pm, which we thought was a crazy time but it was just us.

We were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. Earlier that day they added fishes so it was hectic time. We got to see them feed the fish.  I figured all the fish would swarm to where the food was but that wasn't the case at all. He explained that they are on a food schedule and that each fish has a dry erase board with the times and what they ate. I never really thought about it like that before.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
